Bengaluru is a city of about 8.4 million people (2011 census) at roughly 900 m elevation. It has a mild climate with about 1,078 mm of annual rain, mostly June to September and again in October and November, and moderate humidity. There is no coastal salt, so the priorities are rain-wind, dust and traffic noise.
Housing ranges from the older Pete areas such as Chickpet and Basavanagudi to Koramangala, Ulsoor and Malleshwaram, where plots were converted to apartments from the 1980s. New gated villas sit further out. Each asks for something different: facade approval in a flat, structure and levels in a villa.

For a Bengaluru project we discuss the openings remotely, arrange site measurement, coordinate fabrication through certified AluK Home partners, and arrange installation and aftercare. Coverage and timing are confirmed per project. AluK Home also lists its own experience centre in Bengaluru, reported opened in September 2024. You may want to see systems there as well and compare what each supplier can show.

Confirm coverage for your locality before you commit

Road noise
Dense traffic means glass build-up matters. AluK recommends laminated glass with double glazing for noise, alongside good seals and installation. Ask for the exact glass in writing.
Association and municipal rules
In September 2021 BBMP issued a circular stating that covering balconies or modifying them after the completion certificate goes against the 2003 guidelines and the National Building Code 2016, and called grilles unsafe. Enforcement now is unconfirmed and BBMP has since been split. Check your association and municipal rules.

Owners often ask whether rollers need replacement and who attends. We name replaceable parts and confirm aftercare per project, so ask this of every supplier.
