A sliding door that shows mostly glass
Infineo S146LM is AluK’s inline sliding door for people who want the frame to disappear. The outer frame is fully concealed and the sash is hidden, so what you see from inside is glass, a 21 mm interlock where two panels meet, and a slim handle that stands 35 mm proud when the door is closed.
It suits new construction where the opening is designed around it: villas, penthouses, hotels and large family rooms that open to a garden or terrace. Infineo S146LM frameless sliding door

These figures come from the AluK Home India sliding doors page, the Infineo site and the S146LM datasheet on in.aluk.com. Where the pages differ, we say so rather than choose the friendlier number.
Two items are not settled across AluK’s own pages: the wind-load rating and the water-tightness figure. AluK Home India and in.aluk.com publish different values for the same system. We do not print either here. The exact figure is confirmed against the datasheet for your configuration before we put it in a quotation.

AluK offers two interlock sizes and publishes a maximum sash load for each. Heavier glass needs the larger option. We ask for the glass build-up in writing first, because a double-glazed laminated panel weighs far more than people expect.
Rollers and tracks
The double-wheel stainless rollers sit inside the shutter, which AluK says reduces dust build-up. AluK equates 25,000 cycles with about 15 years of regular use. That is a test result, not a warranty, and we ask for written warranty terms separately.
Threshold and drainage
The flush threshold and the wheelchair-friendly bottom track are useful indoors. On a rain-exposed terrace the track still needs a drainage path to the outside. We settle the sill detail at site measurement, not at the quote.
Locking
Handles come with single-point and multi-point locks. For a door that is out of sight of the house, such as a pool terrace or garden room, we usually recommend the multi-point option.
Infineo against the other sliding options
Choose Infineo when sightline is the priority and the panels stay under the published size limits. Move to AluK lift and slide when a single panel is taller than 3 m or heavy enough that rolling effort and seal compression become the concern. Choose BSF70 folding when you want the whole wall open rather than half of it.
Our own rule of thumb:
Opening wider than 3.5 m in one panel: ask about lift and slide instead
You want a pocket-wall configuration: Infineo offers it, and the wall must be designed for it
Budget is tight and the opening is a standard balcony: look at the standard sliding doors first
Street-facing or rain-exposed: Infineo is still possible, but drainage and sill detail come first
Glass size above what one person can handle: plan crane or hoist access before ordering
Three things to check with any supplier
Which series is on the quotation
Ask for the model name, such as S146LM, and the interlock size. A quote that says only ‘premium sliding door’ tells you nothing. Compare like with like: same glass, same finish, same hardware.
Thermal break and glass
Infineo comes thermally broken or non-thermal, and the quoted thermal value depends on glazing. Ask which version you are being priced and what the glass build-up is. Our glass options guide explains the terms.
Site conditions
Check structural lintel deflection above the opening, floor levels and the finished floor thickness. A frameless door exposes any out-of-level threshold immediately.
